After an amazing run of The Farnsworth Invention at 1st Stage, I’m on to a new stage version of George Orwell’s 1984 with Scena Theatre. This bold adaptation of the well-known novel had audiences “fainting, vomiting, and getting arrested” when it played on Broadway last year, so I’m excited to see how it plays in DC and under the direction of Robert McNamara and the daring team at Scena.
I’ll be playing many characters in this ensemble-driven production, but chief among them is Martin, O’Brien’s right-hand man in the Party and an agent of Big Brother.
The production opens on April 30 (with some previews before then… stay tuned on that) and closes May 27. It plays at the Atlas Performing Arts Center at 1333 H St. NE in Washington, DC.
