2025 has certainly been a busy year so far, but I’m very happy to be adding another exciting project to my season: August Wilson’s MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTOM at ArtsCentric in Baltimore!
This will be my first time playing with ArtsCentric, but I’m happy to get the chance – especially with this outstanding play. I’m cast as Irvin, Ma Rainey’s manager who works to control the recording session as best he can, between appeasing the studio owner, satisfying his own ambitions, and, of course, handling Madame Rainey.
This production is part of the Baltimore August Wilson Celebration, a 3-season project to produce all 10 plays in August Wilson’s monumental “American Century Cycle” through a collaborative effort by several of Baltimore’s leading theatre companies. I’m very pleased to be a part of this ambitious and exciting endeavor.
